There are 4 types of exercise you need to include in your training each week. Sometimes we can make the mistake of only focusing on one type of exercise but it is important to include all four. They each have their own health benefits and I believe that having a variety will keep you motivated. Personally, I enjoy Yoga, HIIT Group Training, Swimming, Weight Training (dumbbell workouts) and I have recently started to enjoy running and would like to start cycling.
There are may types of cardio/endurance training you can do; it doesn’t have to always be running on the treadmill. You should aim for at least, 30 minutes per day for 5-6 days per week.
Strength Training is very important but it shouldn’t be the only type of exercise you do. So what type of exercise is involved with strength training?

Stretching is very important because it will prevent injuries and help you with your flexibility. Include stretching in your warm up: this will get your blood flowing and your muscles warmed up. Be sure to stretch after each workout. Here are 4 of my favourite stretching and flexibility videos on YouTube.
Physical Training is all about finding what works for you and doing what you love to do but be sure to include these 4 types of exercise in your weekly routine. My top 3 choices are Yoga, HIIT and Lifting. It gives me a variety of exercises to choose from and I don’t ever get bored because I switch it up.
Sometimes, I really enjoy doing a Bedtime Yoga routine because it helps me unwind and relax after a long day. I enjoy doing a full on HIIT workout at my gym first thing in the morning because it gets me pumped for the day. My third pick is using dumbbells/kettle bells in a workout because it gives you that extra push and makes me feel strong!
